Dear Charlie and Polly,
Our first few days here have been very busy! After we arrived at the airport in Rome, we rented a car and began driving toward Florence. It was just about a three hour drive (about like driving from Clarksville to Memphis), but we were very tired from the trip and the time change. It is seven hours later here than at home. We checked into our villa, a beautiful little house with a swimming pool. I wish you all were here to swim with us, but I think it might be very cold! Here are some pictures of our house.
