We are having a great time in Guatemala, but we have been working very hard and are so tired! Today I made pictures of almost 100 children in the village of Chocola.
Some of them had never had their pictures made before! Here are some of the children with their pictures.
The doctor who runs the hospital where we are working is a very special man. He gave up life in the city to help the people in this area who had no medical care. He and his wife have four daughters who travel one and a half hours to get to their school each day. Their youngest daughter is Maria Renee and she is just your age, Charlie. Maybe you two could be email friends! Here is a picture of me with Marie Renee.
These last pictures are two of my favorites. The first one is of a little girl coming to see Doc to have several teeth pulled. She is in her beautiful Mayan clothing. Isn't she pretty?
And this is a picture of Isabella. She is a second grade teacher in Chocola, and she loved the iPad! Her favorite game was Bugs and Buttons!
Love,
Sweetie and Doc
